Florida Atlantic Homecoming

Thursday, October 24 – Saturday, November 2, 2024

Come together with friends at Homecoming, embracing school spirit through a series of vibrant events such as an on-campus carnival, community service opportunities, a football game, and more! Florida Atlantic will celebrate Homecoming 2024 beginning October 24 to November 2, 2024 on FAU’s Boca Raton, Broward, and Jupiter campuses. Homecoming is open to all Florida Atlantic à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã, faculty and staff unless otherwise noted.

Florida Atlantic à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã are invited to attend the Florida Atlantic Graduate and Professional School Fair hosted by the Florida Atlantic Career Center on October 24, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Each year, representatives from graduate and professional schools across the country attend this event to share information on their various programs with you.

Friday, Oct. 25 at 10 a.m.

Don't miss the exploding pumpkins! All are invited to watch Department of Physics faculty drop pumpkins off the roof of the SE-43 building to demonstrate common physics principles such as constant acceleration of gravity, terminal velocity, and Newton's laws. Special guest "The Pumpkin Master" will explain the theories behind these principles.



Monday, Oct. 28, 3 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

In an increasingly data-driven political landscape, polling has become a critical tool in understanding public opinion and predicting electoral outcomes. This lecture will offer a comprehensive overview of how polling works and how to interpret the data it provides. We will explore key concepts such as sampling, margin of error, and weighting, and discuss the differences between various types of polls (e.g., tracking polls, exit polls, and opinion polls). The session will feature Dr. Kevin Wagner and leading pollsters who will share their insights on the challenges and nuances of conducting accurate polls in today’s political environment. Free for FAU Students and Faculty.

Coastlines Literary Magazine Open for Submissions!

Deadline for Submissions: November 1

Coastlines, FAU's undergraduate literary magazine, is now open for submissions of fiction, creative nonfiction, poetry, visual art, graphic narrative, and more until November 1, 2024. Visit the Coastlines website for guidelines, past issues, and further information. Coastlines is run by FAU à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã and facilitated through FAU's English Department. Submit now for a chance to see your creative work published!
