All towing and storage authorized under this rule will be done at the registered owner or operator's expense. Charges for towing or storage may vary according to the type of vehicle, type of equipment needed, and costs charged by towing or storage companies. Immobilized, towed or stored vehicles will be released when all unpaid fines and fees have been paid to the University.
Delinquent Accounts/Collection Efforts
According to Florida Statutes 1010.03, each university is directed to exert every effort to collect all delinquent accounts, including the utilization of a collection agency. Therefore, accounts with outstanding balances more than 90 days past due are deemed eligible to be sent to collections. If you do not remit payment in full, your balance will be forwarded to a collection agency and will be assessed significant collection fees up to 30% of the outstanding balance. Once placed in collections, the collection agency may report delinquent accounts to the credit bureaus. If referred for collections, all related fees, and charges owed on the account, including collection agency referral fees, and other reasonable collection costs to collect unpaid balances should be paid promptly.
