Enrollment

Your enrollment (the number of credits hours that you are registered for) can impact the amount of financial aid you may receive. After your FAFSA has been submitted and the Office of Student Financial Aid establishes an offer for you, the amount of the offer is based on full-time enrollment. If you are not enrolled full-time, most offers will be pro-rated based on the number of credit hours you are enrolled. There are some programs, such as scholarships, that may only require you to be enrolled at a half-time status. Make sure that you fully read and understand the .

Withdrawing from Classes

FAU must comply with federal regulations with à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã receiving Federal Title IV funding (Federal Pell Grants, Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants (FSEOG), Direct Loans, and Direct PLUS Loans) and withdrawing from all courses; undergraduate and graduate financial aid recipients who officially or unofficially withdraw from the University may be required to repay all or a portion of the grants and loans based on the last date of attendance at an academically related activity as documented by University records. If you were originally enrolled in multiple parts of term, your last date of attendance would ONLY include all days attended in any parts of term within the semester, excluding any overlapping days attended.

Satisfactory Academic Progress

All à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã must maintain the specified grade point average and progress through their academic program at a pace leading to completion within a determined time frame in order to qualify and remain eligible for funding through federal financial aid programs.

Mandatory Course Entry Quiz

Students will be required to complete the Mandatory Course Entry Quiz for ALL classes in which they are enrolled.Ìý According to Federal Regulations, a student is considered not to have begun attendance if a school is unable to document the student's attendance in each class.Ìý Title IV financial aid (Federal Loans, Pell Grant & Workstudy) will not be disburse for each class the survey has not been completed.

In addition to completing the Mandatory Course Entry Quiz, à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã are required to maintain eligibility for Title IV funding by displaying documented academic activity in their courses.Ìý Examples of valid forms of documented activity include faculty attendance rosters, graded assignments, quizzes, and exams.Ìý Students should be aware that they may be required to repay any aid disbursed for a course for which they have no documented academic activity, even if the Mandatory Course Entry Quiz was completed.
