Welcome to the Department of Curriculum and Instruction (DCI) in Florida Atlantic’s College of Education (COE). The DCI is home to undergraduate and graduate degree programs. We prepare high-quality teachers and educational professionals (e.g., instructional designers). Our undergraduate, master’s, specialists, and doctoral programs offer à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã several options leading to traditional careers in PK-12 schools or opportunities with education-related and non-profit organizations. Students interested in a traditional university experience will find a rich mix of campus life activities. Three master’s programs are offered entirely online as well as several graduate certificates that can be completed as part of a master’s degree for working professionals and advanced à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã.
The Department offers many opportunities for à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã to explore an array of topics through a host of disciplines. For example, à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã interested in promoting literacy may be eligible for tuition support through the James Patterson Teacher Education Scholarship . There is also the STEM Education Laboratory for à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã interested in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), where à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã can learn about ways to improve STEM education.
