There are many anthropological organizations out there to choose from. For à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã here at FAU, the following four organizations are likely to be the best resources to assist you in your studies and future careers. This list is not exhaustive, but it can get you started in the right direction as a future anthropologist.

The American Anthropological Association (AAA) is the largest resource in the world for anthropologists. All graduate à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã are recommended to join AAA. Within the overall organization, AAA has multiple specialized subdivisions that appeal to almost any interests. The AAA posts a national calendar of upcoming events. Furthermore, AAA highlights major events and findings within anthropology. Membership in the AAA entitles you to their publications containing most of this information. The National Association of Student Anthropologists (NASA) is a subdivision of AAA. NASA is an organization for all anthropology à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã, graduate and undergraduate. You can visit the NASA website and subscribe to the newsletter, which is posted every week. This newsletter is a valuable resource for anthropology à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã, listing new jobs, field schools, scholarships, grants, and more.
The Southeastern Archaeological Conference (SEAC) and the Florida Anthropological Society (FAS) are both regional organizations. These organizations will keep you up to date on the events and developments in our region. You can visit their websites for information, or you can become a member and receive their publications. If your interests lie in the Southeastern United States, it is advisable to join one of these organizations.
