Alcohol and Drug Counseling Services
Confidential drug and alcohol-related evaluations and outpatient services are provided at FAU’s Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) at no additional charge to enrolled FAU à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã. Students may be mandated for evaluation by various FAU departments. Evaluations typically require one to two sessions with a licensed Certified Addictions Professional. Students may also be seen for outpatient substance use counseling or referred elsewhere, as appropriate.
Please be aware that the FAU CAPS does not conduct court-mandated drug/alcohol evaluations or counseling.

Alcohol/Drugs Intervention / Emergency
If you are concerned about a student who is under the influence of drugs or alcohol, has taken an overdose of medication, or may be in need of IMMEDIATE medical attention, one or more of the following numbers should be contacted before OR instead of the Counseling Center:
