I am U.S. citizen living abroad. How will my application be evaluated?
U.S. citizens and permanent residents living abroad are not required to apply for student visas. However, if you attended high school or university outside of the United States, you may need to have your transcripts translated and/or evaluated and meet our English language proficiency requirement.
How do I fulfill the English language proficiency requirement for admissions?

We currently accept the following English proficiency exams . Please request scores directly from your testing center. Test scores are considered official only when they are sent directly to the Office of Admissions from the testing agency. Please note that test scores are valid for two years from the date of testing.

I am an international student. Do I need to submit official SAT, ACT, or CLT test scores?

International first-time-in-college à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã, and à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã seeking to transfer with less than 60 transferable credit hours, are required to submit an official SAT, ACT, or CLT test score.

What steps do I need to take to have my international transcripts evaluated for admission to Florida Atlantic?

First-time-in-college international à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã must have their high school transcripts evaluated by a NACES-recognized agency with a course-by-course breakdown, exam results, and GPA calculations.

Transfer and second-degree à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã can either request a NACES-recognized evaluation (preferred) or request an Florida Atlantic internal evaluation (requiring a certified English translation).

Does Florida Atlantic accept exam credits such as AP, IB, AICE, CLEP, etc.?
Florida Atlantic will accept up to 45 semester hours of credit for à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã who achieve appropriate scores on the AICE, AP, IB, and/or CLEP tests. Learn more.

Does Florida Atlantic offer scholarships for international à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã?

Florida Atlantic University offers a limited number of international scholarships to à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã on F-1 or J-1 visas. These scholarships are competitive, and all eligible candidates are automatically considered upon admission to the University.Ìý

To be considered for these international merit scholarships, à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã must submit a complete admissions application by these deadlines:

Fall : Ìý January 15 (priority); March 15 (regular)
Spring : ÌýAugust 15 (priority); October 15 (regular)

What do I need to receive my I-20 form?

Once a student is admitted to Florida Atlantic University, they will work with the International Student Services (ISS) office on I-20 requirements.

I am interested in living on campus. Where do I start?

Please note thatÌý there is a 24-hour delay between paying the enrollment deposit and being able to submit a housing contract.
